Meet Pamela Batzel

Pamela Batzel

Pamela Batzel has nearly 20 years’ experience in qualitative market research, preceded by an 11-year journalism career. Curiosity, an open-ear, intellect, empathy, and insights generation are hallmarks of Pamela’s work. She has delivered across multiple categories (e.g., healthcare, agriculture, energy, consumer packaged goods) via multiple methods (i.e., interviews and focus groups; online diaries and ethnographies; rich-dive social media analysis). Pamela has interviewed physician specialists, patients with fatal illnesses, sustainability leaders of multi-national companies, and many others. She leverages study subjects’ language-use to uncover segments’ ways of seeing and attitudes. In 2019, Pamela graduated with a Master’s in Rhetoric from Carnegie Mellon University. She is now enrolled in a nine-month ontological coaching program, expanding her skills in assessing body language and emotion. Pamela would love to have a conversation to understand your business questions and how she may be the right person to help you with insights generation.

We were thankful for the opportunity to Pamela for our All About Qual series and enjoyed our discussion about her research journey, language analysis, and her experiences interviewing patients with terminal illnesses.
